Junior Software Engineer

Job Description:
- Design & installation of new software systems.
- Support of existing system installations.
- Delivery of system training to end-users.
- Generating, review and approval of validation lifecycle documentation including design documents, testing documents and supporting procedures.
- Development of bespoke applications.
Locations:
Primarily based in the TQS offices in Dungarvan, Co. Waterford. However the successful applicant will be expected to travel to client sites within Ireland, as required.
Minimum Requirements:
The candidates should have a degree or diploma in a relevant Software discipline with at least 1 years programming experience. Good presentation is required with excellent written and verbal communication skills. A full clean driving license is required for this position.
A strong technical ability is required for this position. Good attention to detail, and strong report writing/oral communication skills are required. The successful candidate will have an aptitude for understanding project challenges and delivering solutions.
Desired Skills:
- BSc Degree in a software discipline, or Diploma in a Software discipline with equivalent experience
- Minimum 1+ year's Programming experience
- Experience working with MS SQL server and other RDBMS
- Programming skills, including C#, C++, ASP.Net, Sharepoint
- Experience working in a GMP regulated environment would be a distinct advantage.
- Familiarity with OSISoft software is preferable but not necessary, as training will be provided.
Senior Software Engineer

Job Description:
- Design software solutions to meet the desired requirements
- Understand and communicate consequences of his/her design on the architecture
- Define, execute and take the lead in concept and feasibility studies
- Further develop and improve the existing software architecture
- Develop new software to supplied specifications and to the required standards
- Write supporting technical documentation
- Lead, as well as participate in, design discussions
- Provide advice and assistance on design issues to Systems Analysts and others during the requirements phase
- Provide time estimates to the Project Manager to assist in project planning
- Contribute to technology roadmaps and other strategic related activities
- Keep abreast of technical developments and propagate these to others
- Mentor other software engineers as and when necessary
Locations:
Primarily based in the TQS offices in Dungarvan, Co. Waterford. However the successful applicant will be expected to travel to client sites within Ireland, USA and Europe as required.
Minimum Requirements:
Candidates should have a degree in a relevant Engineering or software discipline with at least 4 years experience as a software developer. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Manufacturing and have demonstrable experience as a Software Developer. A full clean driving license is required for this position.

- C#, C++, VB6, VB.net, ASP.Net, Sharepoint
- Experience working with MS SQL server and other RDBMS
- Knowledge of object oriented design principles
- Experience working in a GMP regulated environment would be a distinct advantage.
